Project 6. Protein Sorting and Overexpression in Escheria coli
Our proteomics and mass spectrometry infrastructure and expertise are also used
in collaborations with colleagues at Cornell University and elsewhere.
A long standing collaboration with Profs. Jan Willem de Gier and Gunnar von
Heijne at the University of Stockholm, Sweden,
is focused on protein targeting and biogenesis of E. coli inner membrane and
secreted proteins, as well as consequence of the over-expression of membrane
proteins (see e.g. ref #46).
