Backups (Robert Bukowski)
We are happy to introduce backup service, now available to all BioHPC Lab users. It can be configured and controlled using our website. You can back up your home directories (or parts thereof) as well as data stored on hosted servers. Browse and retrieve backed up files any time on login nodes. Backup storage servers are located in Weill Hall, a location separated from our main computing facility at Rhodes Hall. |

Computing and data management (Qi Sun)
There are variety of options available to access our computing solutions, including purchasing computing hours, annually paid membership, or hosting a dedicated server. We have equally large array of options available for storing data. It is also possible to share data with external collaborators (for both exporting and importing data). |

Docker (Jaroslaw Pillardy)
Advanced users often need to install applications just to test them, and although we are happy to install software for you, it may not be practical to do that for a brief test or evaluation. Docker allows users to install and run applications in an isolated way that includes full administration rights inside an isolated container. Docker containers also enable users to run programs native to other Linux distributions without any need of porting or modifying - like Ubuntu apps on RedHat/CentOS. |
