Notes:

PASTEC is currently installed only on cbsulm09 and cbsulm10 workstations. Please conatct us if you need to use it on another machine.

Before using PASTEC you need to initialize its environment by excuting the following command

. /programs/PASTEClassifier-1.0/config/setEnv.sh

(note there is a space after the dot in the beginning of tthe line).

You will need a configuration file, PASTEClassifier.cfg to define your PASTEC run. A template of this file can be found in /programs/PASTEClassifier-1.0/config. Please make your own copy of this file, and fill out and/or adjust all the parameters except those in block [repet_env], which are already set.Then use this updated config file in the PASCTEC command, e.g. (make sure the following command is entered in one line):

nohup /programs/PASTEClassifier-1.0/bin/PASTEClassifier.py -i inpuFile.fa -C my_PASTEClassifier.cfg >& PASTEC.log &
